  • Suggested route on the Hagelandse Heuvels en Valleien walking network. 
  • Follow the nodes: 5 - 51 - 53 - 55 - 56 - 47 - 19 - 18 - 111 - 112 - 113 - 114 - 57 - 52 - 5. 
  • You can start this walk at node 113, at the small car park at the intersection of Lindestraat and Meidries in Holsbeek. 
  • Walk over the slopes and across the plateau of the Chartreuzenberg. 
  • Walk along deep sunken roads and discover the rugged landscape and beautiful vista of the Lindenbos, Chartreuzenbos, and their surroundings. 
  • Grab a bite to eat at the 'Bed van Napoleon' tavern, an old forester's house that has been transformed by the owner into a cosy restaurant. According to legend, Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte once spent the night there. 
  • At the most north-eastern point of Linden, you come across the Speelberg Chapel. 
  • Stop at Vandeurzen Castle Vineyard for a glass of Hageland wine.
