‘De Krop’, the new Belgian Endive Museum in Kampenhout, tells the story of how endive cultivation in a dark Brussels cellar conquered the fertile soil of the Dijleland. It not only put food on the table, but also enabled entire villages to flourish due to the labour-intensive cultivation.
