  • Follow the waymarks: 88 - 34 - 38 - 91 - 92 - 93 - 59 - 57 - 81 - 56 - 18 - 25 - 83 - 58 - 86 - 87 - 89 - 88.
  • Start at the Provincial Domain Halve Maan.
  • You cycle directly past the Lindenmolen, a wooden windmill from the 18th century, located on the city walls.
  • Cycle past the Norbertine abbey of Averbode and stop at the ice cream stalls set up to one side in the avenue known as 'Lekdreef'.
  • Cycle via Zichem to Scherpenheuvel, known not only for its basilica, but also for its many sweet stalls offering a variety of gingerbread products called Pepernoten and Noppen.
  • Be sure to visit Xaverius, the Flemish Centre for food and dining culture located in the Beguinage in Diest.
