- André Van de Gaer and his son Danny planted their first vines for a small vineyard for private use in Houwaart in the spring of 2010.
- André started planting varieties like Müller Thurgau and Optimaal back in the 1970s.
- The plantation includes white grape varieties (Solaris, Johanitter, and Kerner) and red grape varieties (Rondo, Cabarnet Cortis, and Pinot Noir).
