The first traces of what is now called Brewery Boon are found in 1680.
The brewery was always given the name of the new owner and in 1977 René De Vits sold it to Frank Boon.
The brewery is one of a handful of breweries that use the ‘cloudy wort’ method, also called the slime method, the oldest traditional brewing method for Lambic.
Brewery Boon delivers Lambic to Geuze makers, and makes a classic Oude Geuze and Oude Kriek in addition to the highly successful Kriek Boon.
