Cycle Route Interchange Network. How does it work?

The concept behind the Cycle Route Interchange Network is a simple one. Just open your map before setting off and note the numbers of the interchanges you want to include on your ride. You simply work out the length of your outing yourself. Then just follow the signs along the way. At crossroads, forks and turns between the interchanges, there are rectangular signs with an arrow and the number of the interchange you are heading to. Other signs indicate that you are approaching an interchange.

You can start anywhere. Currently there are three Cycle Route Interchange Networks in Flemish Brabant: the Hageland, the Dijleland (280 km) and the Brabant Kouters network. They take you through the prettiest landscapes, the nicest towns and the best locations. You can also stop off at the recognised “bicycle cafés” en route for a snack and a drink.
The Flemish Brabant networks connect seamlessly with the networks set up in the provinces of Limburg and Antwerp. That means many days of cycling fun along paths that are safe and  pass through what is mostly wide-open countryside.
